Forsythia is the flower of anticipation, the yellow inflorescences produced before leaves in early spring. These eco-dyed and embroidered pieces are made in response to and in anticipation of the unknown. In recording incrementally revealed unknowns through intensive embroidery, collected scrutiny evinces concrete examples of experience and perception. More here.

Looking back through photo reminders, I've been stitching the Worry Stitch project for a year towards the end of this month. My latest is stitched over a severed jumper sleeve sold in a rag collection. Working the same small cloth as it conforms to the tension of stacked stitching, the project becomes both familiar and comforting.
