The action of paying attention or selectively concentrating on perceivable information is complex. Attention permits us to extract and react to specific information from a wealth of stimuli in a given situation. But how is attention regulated? What is it that we notice? And when one extension of attention is dissipated, where does it go as the next rolls in?

DATUM

I've added a new ongoing project to the site called DATUM. Datum in Latin means "a given" or "that which we take for granted and use as the basis of our calculations". This series, a place for my growing collection of glitches, is designed for documenting the strange and sometimes unsettling beauty of these often unwanted occurrences.
