Summernats 38 2026 Braddon Fringe - Canberra

Summernats 38, coming to a close at the fringe festival in Braddon, Saturday night. Tools, transport, space, identity - the car can be celebrated as an extension and expression of the self. Even when driving, the car's boundaries can be felt as our own to the benefit of spacial awareness and navigation. Speed is a tough concept to translate to the static nature of photography, so I mostly shot with a long exposure, rolling with the movement of the cars, eager, customized and beloved by their drivers.
