Wind drawings are visual documents of wind behaviour. By creating a rig that responds to the physical influence of the wind, abstracted renderings of movement, time, environment and weather can be condensed into a single page. The properties of the rig means that the limitations and capabilities of the machine are also recorded within each individual print.

Depending on weather conditions, the drawing process can take minutes to weeks. The peak wind speeds, exposure duration and predominant wind direction over the period are recorded and paired with each individual mapping.

Direction marries direction. Sydney is beautiful and awful and anxious and energizing. All at once. Everywhere.
